Lighthouse Point Homes For Rent

Community Information

Lighthouse Point is a small, tight-knit community of about 10,000 residents that sits on a mere 2.4 square miles of land within northeastern Broward County. The town strives to give its residents the sensation of small town living while still being within an easy driving distance to the three major nearby cities of West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. Lighthouse Point is known for its slow-paced lifestyle, quiet neighborhoods, tree-shaded streets, and miles of waterways. The majority of the homes are private residences, and many of them sit along the shores of Lighthouse Point’s 18 miles of waterways. Many of the homes that line the waterways include docks for boating enthusiasts. The ocean access within this city is unencumbered by fixed bridges in most cases, which is a great benefit for those that own larger vessels.

The eastern section of Lighthouse Point opens onto the Intracoastal Waterway, allowing for easy ocean access from the town’s many canals. At the mouth of the waterway sits the famed Hillsboro Lighthouse, which has stood guard over the Hillsboro Inlet since 1906, and is the lighthouse for which the city is named. The west side of the city sits on Federal Highway, which includes many shopping centers, restaurants, and other business establishments. Approximately 20 acres of parks sit within the city limits, along with 13 miles of sidewalks and bike paths, which allow the residents the opportunity to enjoy the nature that surrounds this sleepy town.

The residents have many excellent dining options, including Papa’s Raw Bar, Nauti-Dawg Marina Cafe, Lito’s Turf and Surf, Sicilian Oven, and Seafood World.
